WTB T30 Motherboard (1 dead ram slot ok)

#1 Post by jgra » Mon Feb 18, 2008 7:33 am

Hello, I am in need of a t30 motherboard for my laptop. I need one that will work with 2366-43U. I have been looking on ebay but they have been kinda high or are untested. Thanks

Not that I have either available, but if the dead ram slot isn't an issue, I am sure that there are a few people on here that have changed out their boards because the second ram slot didn't work. Their loss could be your gain, if a 1gb ram limit is ok with you.

Thanks for the reply. The motherboard does acutally work except it will only boot to a external monitor (LCD BLACK ALL THE TIME). If you try to boot without it it turns on for 5 second and then shuts off. When its booted to a external monitor and you hit FN-F7 the laptop just shuts down. After that in order to get it to boot at all you have to remove cmos battery to restore default settings in the bios. I have had this problem listed in the t30 forum and have had some help. I have tried everything I know except replacing the motherboard. Thanks

Right, I understand what the problems are with your T30. I have been following your thread...

I am suggesting that if you can live with only 1GB ram, you might be able to pick up a used T30 board on here pretty cheap, because several forum members have changed them out due to the bad ram slot. Make sense?

Sounds good to me. A motherboard with 1 dead ram slot would be fine with me, In fact the one I have only had 1 working Ram slot before this issue happened. If anyone has one for sale please let me know. Thanks.
