The Ultimate R50P for sale QXGA 2Gb 2.10

Hello All,
I'm selling my R50P which has been upgraded to the max.
First, it has the QXGA screen installed. No dead pixels, beautiful screen.
Also, I have upgraded the processor to the fastest available on this machine, the 2.10 Dothan.
The RAM is 2Gb, also the max.
I have upgraded the hard drive to the Hitachi 7K100, which is brand new, and also the best/fastest available for this machine.
It is running XP, and an original set of recovery CD's will be included.
The laptop itself is in pristine condition, it was hardly used at all. There are two slight, and I mean slight, surface scratches on the top right area. The rest of the laptop is perfect, including the keyboard (no shine on the keys). The latch to open the lid sticks a bit sometimes, but the lid does close and lock shut.
The original model number is 1832-22U.
My cost for this laptop + upgrades was $1490.00.
Price = $1000 shipped.
Any questions please ask.

Yes, it's the 2.10. I will edit the original post. Thanks.

This R50p is in really nice shape. I know because I'm the one who did the QXGA upgrade for him. It also has fresh Arctic Silver 5 on the CPU, so it should stay cooler than stock R50p's.
The resolution on this thing is just insane, and it's still a flexview! The screen is nearly new and it's very bright.
Good luck with the sale!

Bump, still available.
Awesome computer, do you think it would sell on ebay for what it's worth? Maybe I'll just keep it, if it doesn't sell here.

I'd probably say no - not necessarily because your asking price is excessive, but because the general ensemble of eBay buyers wouldn't appreciate the specs of the machine enough, and possibly end up comparing apples with oranges by comparing the asking price to that of new $1400 machines. If I were you, I'd probably keep it and sell the UXGA screen, unless the specs for whatever reason are insufficient for your needs.
Just my 2c.

Actually, there were several listed on eBay maybe 10 days ago, with QXGA screens for $1800 or best offer, and I believe that some have been sold...you may want to do a search on completed items and see what's what...
Personally, I love R50p machines...if I ever had the patience to get done what you have, that would be a keeper #3 (in addition to 701C and my "main" A31p).
Just my $0.02, obviously.
Good luck whatever you choose to do.

I just did a search and found these 2 ended listings:
#1
#2
Unless something prohibits me from seeing parts of the listing, doesn't look like they sold. The same seller had a
T43p w/ QXGAlisted for a BIN of $2800, which also appears to have not sold.

I am not surprised that they weren't sold. The seller did such a bad job describing them.
positive, I suggest that you sell the UXGA panel separately -- it should fetch around $100 - $130. If you still have the original 1.7GHz Banias, consider putting it back and selling the 2.10 Dothan, which should get you ~$200. This way, you would be able to sell the R50p for $1,100 or less.
In general, one gets more money by parting out a laptop.

This is such a nice machine, and I hate to see it parted out. My advice, keep it and enjoy it, unless you need the cash, then get it back to original specs and sell the upgrade parts.

I just saw this post, almost a year later - too funny!
What's even funnier is that yes, I do indeed still have it!

That's not even funny, but just outright insane. What were the chances...
If you ever decide to part with it, throw me a PM.
