Li Ion battery holds charge of around 2+ hours. Includes AC adapter. No IBM warranty left. The LCD is in excellent condition with no white spots, scuffs, or scratches, nice and bright. Overall this laptop is in good cosmetic condition. I'd say at least a 9 out of 10.
This is a good chance to own a Flexview machine at a reasonable price. IMHO, SXGA+ Flexview is the best resolution (1400x1050) for everyday work and graphics viewing/processing. If you've never owned one of these fine R51's, it is simply one of the best Thinkpads ever made. It's basically a T42 with attitude
