SOLD!hi-end A31P, wi-fi/BT/FlexView, final price drop,$350

#1 Post by ajkula66 » Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:58 pm

Haven't I said that it seems like this year's crop is going to be a good one? Make that a great one...

ThinkPad A31p 2653-R5U

Original description:
P4-M 2.0GHz(512KB)
256MB RAM.........................now 1Gb (2x512Mb)
60.0GB HDD...........................now 40Gb/5400rpm
15.0 UXGA(1600x1200) TFT LCD
16x10x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD
Wi-Fi wireless/Modem(MPCI)
Ethernet(CDC)
IEEE 1394
IBM Secure Chip(TCPA)
Bluetooth(CDC)
TV out
Li-Ion battery
WinXP Pro................restore media included

Let's not forget: ATi FireGl 7800 video card with 64Mb VRAM, S-video in and out.

details and caveats:

SOLD!Laptop # 1 is as mint as these come from the standpoint of physical condition, period. Minimal (and I mean less than average T43 or T60) outside wear, no shine on the keyboard, flawless LCD. The only thing preventing me from calling it "downright perfect" is the fact that right-hand UltraBay lever doesn't like to sit in its spot. You push it in, it stays there a bit and the next thing you know it's out again. This doesn't affect the functionality of the machine whatsoever, but I wanted to mention it, as well as the fact that I have absolutely no intention of playing around to fix this. "The only mistake" as Joy Division would have it, shall be reflected in the price. Battery is in green, low cycle count, but fairly old. Don't expect miracles there.THIS UNIT HAS BEEN SOLD

PENDING SALE.Laptop #2 has some light wear/sticker residue on the lid, minimal shine on the keys, and a few dirt/dust specs stuck behind the LCD, nothing unusual, or too dramatic. Overall shape would be around 8.75-9.00 on a 1-10 scale. Battery is in yellow, low cycles, once again, expect no miracles.PENDING SALE.

SOLD!Laptop # 3 is in excellent physical condition, 9 or better on a 1-10 scale, but the LCD has a very slight red hue on the boot, that disappears in about 10-15 seconds. Has standard 40Gb/4200 HDD and 512Mb RAM.SOLD!

Asking $350, plus fairly calculated shipping depending on your location. As most of you know, I accept all reasonable payment methods, and ship to most countries.

I perfectly understand that quite a few people would find a 40Gb HDD insufficient for their needs nowadays, and am willing to take these out and make appropriate arrangements with the buyer... :D

Feel free to PM me for high-resolution pictures, or with any questions/concerns that you might have.

Great machines from a trusted seller!. Good luck with the sales George. I'd just like to add, for the purchaser of machine #1, I have an Ultrabay cage for the A31 with the lever in question for sale(cheap). Contact me if interested. It's a really easy fix. If it's a long distance purchase, I'd even be willing to ship the cage to George so it will be in the same box.

The best thing is that the price won't tear you apart.

Thanks, guys, you make me blush...

Two things here:

a) Laptop # 3 added.
b) If a buyer chooses the laptop #1, I will include the part that Harry was referring to at no extra cost.

Bump.

I must sell one of these. Pick the machine that suits your needs and throw me a reasonable offer. Re-configuration is also an option.

As much as I love A31p ThinkPads I don't need five of them in my house... :D

I had already given the go-ahead for the T42p before I saw your advert. The sale had already been finalised. I do want an A31p but wont have enough money now until the end of June, I'm really really sorry, so unless you are prepared to wait until then, all I can do is apologise

No apologies needed, you can send that T42p this way and we're OK...

All jokes aside, enjoy. There will always be another A31p at this house, maybe not at these prices though... :D

Update and price drop...

Laptop # 3 is pending sale.

Laptop # 2 has been reduced from $375 to $350, and I might be interested in trading it for something interesting, even if I have to throw in some $$$...

Let me know...I really don't want to eBay it...
