WTB Intel Pro 2200BG network card and antenna wire to put in my TP 240X.
I know that I can get these on ebay and other web stores but since I am an active forum member, I wanted to give the other members a chance.

Check out
wireless4laptop on eBay. They are also a member here. I bought a pair of wireless antenna from them and they worked perfectly.

May I ask why Intel Pro 2200BG? They are pretty expensive over $20. I'd installed used card from HP and it worked fine.
If you look at the antenna for sale on ebay they will recommend installing 2 antennas under the keyboard. As I remember, I already had 2 antenna one short and one long. The short one stay under the keyboard. For the long one, I install in/on the LCD.

Aren't these antenna wires just insulated wire or they something special? I was figuring on running the antenna wire along the same path that the LCD ribbon cable runs and go on up to the top of the LCD Basel.
The reason for asking for the 2200bg was that it was the only thing suggested as working in the 240. I don't have a bunch of cards around to just try to see if they work. A few errors could cost me well over the $20.00.

Yes, that's the best way to do it is to run the antenna up to the LCD for best reception.
I had tried 2 kind one was an off brand no name i got from ebay and one is from HP (mentioned early). Both were used. Work just fine just as long as you got the right driver and mini pci. I got both of them for around $7 each. Some card is larger in size than others. I remember putting one of the HP card onto 390X and it barely fit. I had to do a little adjustment to the opening. Difference is i'm a gambler.

In order to run the antenna wire up the LCD frame from the inside, would you recommend removing the LCD from the 240X and then threading it thru? Or just removing the LCD bezel and just squeezing it around the LCD frame? Sorry if this sounds confusing but I was just reading the 240x maintenance manual and wasn't sure the best way to go about it!

Generally, they're the latter. Here's a selection of antennas I tested out on a T23 a few months back:

I'd be careful in taking the trouble to run the antenna(s) up into the lid if it's constructed of metal. The twbook says the 240X has a carbon-fiber lid so that may be better than the titanium lids of newer systems.
