howdy guys,

My friend runs a non-profit modern-dance company in Ashland Oregon.

She runs the organization on a T41 that I maintain for her.

Her work of course deals with a lot of video; and she's been paying others to burn DVD's for her.

It occurred to me today that I really oughta hunt up a DVD-burner for her.

So, if any of you have a Multi-burner that will fit the T41, and isn't too dear, please do let me know.

One with a scratched bezel or something would be fine. Looks aren't important....her cost is.

ps: she also needs a new 9-cell batt....hers just died last week.

If she is doing a lot of video on DVD, then a faster external DVD burner is a better choice, unless she is mobile and burning DVD's.

I think she's burning perhaps one a month right now....I'll ask her about that.

I have a feeling that 'simpler' is better...i.e. if it's just 'part of the pc'...instead of an external setup that would have to be stuffed in the bag and carried around, etc..

If the price isn't too dear, I think the 'built in' is probably the way to go.

I did want to make sure she had the DL capability. Was the T4x multiburner the same capabilities as the T6x ?

Or if not, will the T6x drive work in a T41 ? Swap bezels or something? Or is the interface different?
