Atheros mini-pci 54g / 108mbps wireless card. (a/b/g)
Came from IBM T43
Will work in : T40,T41,T42,T43 - X31,X32,X40 - R50.

You may need to update your bios for the atheros cards.
Anyway, never had a problem with this- works perfect. I took it out when I sold the laptop last month.

Markings: T60H814. 02 (I believe ibm part no.?)
0001001-OOSO

ag_inspector: If you don't find one on the forum...you can find a "G" model on eBay. I found several the other day that claimed compatible with the R40. Simply search R40 wireless thinkpad...they are about $9.00 plus shipping:

The model you should consider is 91P7301.
