All righty, guys.

I don't want to type all of this over again.... Waaahhh.... :cry:

Oh, well, I'll live.

Hey!

I'm looking to change computers, yet again. I have up, for sale or trade, a great last revision 1.67GHz Powerbook G4, 15 inch screen. This was pretty much the last and best of the PowerPC portables, and it's the fastest. This laptop comes with a charger and the original box, plus legal Adobe CS3 programs like Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, etc. I'd like to trade it for an IBM Thinkpad or sell it outright, for $800 OBO.

Here are the specs:

->1.67GHz PowerPC G4 processor
->1.5GB of RAM
->fast 80GB 5400RPM hard drive
->bright, clear 15" widescreen display with no dead pixels
->slot-loading 8x DVD burner
->128MB ATi Radeon 9700, will play most games on medium settings
->Full-size keyboard, with fiber-optic automatic backlight that senses darkness and turns on so you can see the keys
->802.11g and Bluetooth wireless capabilities, you can go online the instant you get it
->2 USB 2.0 ports
->1 FireWire 400 port and one FireWire 800 port
->PCMCIA slot
->DVI and S-Video out
->Gorgeous aluminum case

Some pics....

Nice. When does support for the G4 CPU end?

Probably in like 2012 or so. Why do you ask?

I'm rather a Mac newbe but am thinking of getting one and have some basic questions:

1: can the operating system be upgraded to the latest, or is this non-Intel hardware?

2: would you take a genuine US Post Office money order?

3: regarding the shoe next to the computer in the picture - is that part of the legendary "sneaker net" we always hear about? (just a little humor there)

I asked because I am curious... I want to pickup a 12" PowerBook and I still can't find a consensus.

mgo:
1. Yes the OS can be upgraded, no this is not Intel hardware. It's PPC.

I'm sorry, but it's been sold...

Out of curiosity, how did you get $475 in extras?
