This sounds like a very sweet machine...pricing it might be a headache, though.

Lenovo has messed up the "second-hand" market with its Outlet sales and all older models with non-IPS LCDs seem to be affected tremendously.

If you don't need the money that bad, you may want to hang on to this one, it's still a very powerful and presentable ThinkPad and should provide worry-free service for quite some time...and if you must sell, I'd imagine that you're in the correct ballpark with your estimate.

Just my $0.02.

Best of luck whatever you decide to do with this fine machine.

I am selling the same machine, 2007-64U, new and sealed with the standard three year warranty for $950, so be guided accordingly. New is new, used is used, notwithstanding condition.
PLEASE DO NOT PM

that is true with the condition, but if I do sell, Ill leave it up to the buyer to see what I mean by "perfect"!!!

Plus, I could potentiallly toss in a few worthwhile lenovo upgrades if I feel the price is right. :D:D:D But thanks for the info... I guess I should upload some pics just in case.

As you rightly point out, your main competition is Lenovo with its new T61/p. With their current discounts (38%) on new machines and the latest processors, video, etc, you're going to take a bath on 2 year old technology.

Keep it and enjoy it!

T60 Feeler

#7 Post by Truthfinder » Wed Apr 09, 2008 2:43 pm

Well, I feel your about $850. - $900. is right in the ballpark for a unit as clean as your T60.
Additionally, I'm well aware of the reduced pricing of the T61, however, I've read one horor story after the next about issues with the T61s. So, with this in mind, anyone who wants to purchase a sweet unit would fair well with your offering......

If I were in the market for another T60, I'd certainly give serious consideration to your unit.

As you can see, my current unit is a T60 with nearly the same configuration as what you are offering and I'm extreamly happy with my unit. It's fast and does everything you would want in a business class unit.

Best of luck

My 2 cents :) Truthfinder

And in it's favor is that wonderful old IBM Thinkpad logo on the palmrest and lid, vs the current cheap-looking Thinkpad-only logo - Ugh!!!

Am I the only guy here who likes the newer logo better?
Now: T60 2613-EKU | T23 2647-9NU | 600X 2645-9FU | HP 100LX
Past: X31 2673-Y13 | T41 2374-3HU | T22 2647-AEU

hehe... Thanks guys! I figure the 61's can give my 60 a run for its money, but for my everyday use, I dont feel the difference between a 61 and a 60. Oh, and one thing that I really liked besides the IBM logo is that the machine didnt come with that triangle sticker on the lid like my x61 did... even removing the sticker leaves a mark on the beautiful paint on my x61, but my T60 is unmarred by any sticker :D!

I really like the T60 and would hate to have it go, but I would rather sell it to a member here who can appreciate the machine as much as I have, than to keep it with me and let it slowly lose its shine with neglect.
