Sounds like someone who's trying to buy hard drives to steal your personal information right? :P

I'm actually trying to modify a desktop PATA/SATA converter to use in my T42P (after extensive testing on another machine of course). I ordered the adapter and am now looking for a SATA drive. Knowing my own abilities, I really don't want to use a perfectly working drive to test!

I would like to get my hands on a drive that's failing or otherwise damaged. Ideally, it would be something you can still read/write to. That way you'll be able to wipe it clean before shipping. Hopefully someone has something like this on the cheap. I'll be looking on Ebay as well.

Send me a PM if you have a drive to sell.

Andy

I have a clicking 120gb. It's been clicking for 6 months, and still works just fine. I've just been using it for linux testing, but will likely move to a perfectly-working 40gb as soon as my new Thinkpad comes in
