Warranty information

Type: Model: Serial number:

Status: Expiration date: Location:
In warranty 2008-06-21 UNITED STATES

The HD is the original IBM option drive, so there is no 2010 error. Has XP Pro COA on bottom. No factory partition. Will come loaded with fresh install of XP Pro.

Cosmetics: Outside has the normal wear, with one noticeable scratch on the top cover.

Screen is the 14" SXGA+ 1400X1050. There are two very small areas (About the size of a pencil eraser, at most) towards the bottom of the screen where it glows a bit lighter on certain background colors. I notice it about 20% of the time. If it is an issue, the machine is under warranty for a bit longer.

Comes with original IBM AC adapter as well.

$499 incuding shipping within the USA via UPS. All forms of PayPal payments accepted, with no extra fees.

Pictures will be up within 24 hours or so. I can be contacted by PM or at my username at gmail.com. My email is checked more often, so that would be my preferred method of contact.

Don't hesitate to ask any questions or request specific pictures. Natrually I will try and show the screen marks I mentioned.

Thanks!

Edit - Picture links are below. I cannot get the light spots on the screen to show up, so I will give the buyer 7 days to evaluate it and make sure it is acceptable. If not, they are welcome to return it for a full refund minus shipping.

I believe that you've meant 1400x1050 for SXGA+, not 1280x1024 which is SXGA.

And the machine that you have is one fine ThinkPad with SXGA+ LCD indeed.

Good luck with the sale.

Does the CPU invalidate the warranty?
Thanks

After reading around on the forum, some people have speculated that it might, but I cannot find anyone that has actually had warranty service denied as a result of upgrades. On the other hand, there have been people that have sent upgraded machines for service and had no issues.

Also, I'm having some camera issues, but pictures are still coming soon.

Memory (intenal and external) is considered an FRU; CPU is not. Don't know if this would invalidate the warranty (?)

You might run into international warranty issues. My T40 was refused warranty work in Mexico until I put the old HD back in.

My bad, forgot to close this. It was traded to another forum member a little while back. Mods, please lock.
