FS: T40 Re-celled Battery 42.XX Wh $30

#1 Post by dsigma6 » Wed May 14, 2008 7:35 am

Update: Please don't make me put this battery on eBay! Buy it!!

It has been quite a while since I sold on here, but I'm back...

All prices include USPS Priority shipping to the US only. No exceptions.

6 Cell battery
- I had this original battery re-celled by batteryrefill.com at the end of December. It is currently (when originally listed) at 42.XX Wh with ~23 cycles. $30 (It'll cost $60 between the battery refill and shipping if you do this on your own).

edit: Prices dropped.

Everything else is gone.

This is getting worse than Craigslist. :) Over there people at least have to get there first so depending on where the poster lives or is willing to meet a buyer usually has at least a few hours. Here if the deal is a good one it's often a matter of minutes.

Believe me, if it was hi-res, I'd have mentioned it! Take $10 off the listed price if you act now! Hurry, only 8 minutes remaining!

I'm not sure if it's unique, but the LCD has the wifi wires running through it. I'll get the FRU.

Also, I have the DVD/CD drive (CD burner), wireless and modem cards, and a keyboard with lots of sticky/worn keys.

The burner works fine but I remember it being noisy. Also, it never went into the cage easily, but it could've been the cage itself. There is nothing misshapen or damaged-looking about it.

Hi,

Is the WiFi card still available? If so, can I have more info on it?

Thanks.

I won't be home until tomorrow afternoon, so I'll get FRU's for everything I have left at that time.

I still have the LCD, battery, wireless card...

Anyone want a bunch of screws from a T40?

I also have the speaker assembly...this stuff is gonna end up in the trash!

You guys are wishful thinkers!

I was referring to the screws and speaker assembly, albeit vaguely.

LCD and battery can go on eBay if it doesn't work out here. More money to be had!

I'm not quite certain what you still have, so here goes. I'm interested in the wireless card and the combo drive if still available. If I end up getting that stuff from you can I trouble you for the screws? Oh, do you have the actual KB or just the "sticky keys"?

Sorry, schen, I've been completely oblivious to new replies!

I still have the wireless card. It's yours for a fair price. Screws are still waiting to be sent (sorry Steve), and the keyboard can be yours as well. It has all the keys, but no trackpoint cap.

lol you're certainly right.

I have the wireless card (non bluetooth), modem card and that lovely re-celled battery.

Oh, and a CMOS battery in the yellow wrap with the wires...FRU 92P0986.

$15 takes everything but the re-celled battery.

Hello,

Could you take a picture of the battery? I'm just curious as to how it looks after a refill. I tried to look up some information about them as I'm thinking about getting my battery refilled, but they say it may look...not as good afterwards. They also seem to have a very long turn-around time.. Anyway, I can't find any pictures of it to see how serious the physical change is.

Thanks in advance!

It's obviously glued around the edges, but assuming you don't pry on it it'll be just fine. I'll try to snap pics tomorrow.

Obviously I never got around to taking pics...and I probably will keep forgetting. It's glued, but it's fine.

$30 shipped. Come on people!

Does anyone want whatever components I have left? CMOS battery, 56k modem card, hard drive caddy, perhaps the keyboard...PM me.

edit: Everything is gone except for the extremely affordable battery!

*Edit* Oops I didn't read your post thoroughly enough. After 2 months and no word I'm still waiting to get my battery back from batteryrefill.com. How long did yours take? I'm about to file a complaint with my credit card company, maybe once I get the refund I'll buy yours if its still available.

I think mine took a month and a half...

Every time I called they said it was getting ready to be shipped. Their CS sucks!
