Hi ,
I am want to buy an ultrabay 2000 HDD caddy for my A31. I have an ATA harddisk (2nd), currently I swap the harddisks but I want a caddy so I can use both of them.
Thanks

I picked one up off of sleezebay from Hong Kong. It was like $12.00 shipped for a PATA HDD. Cheapest one I found in the States was about $21.00 shipped. I figured the gamble was worth it. I got it in 10 days in the IBM OEM wrapper. Used the Credit Card to pay for it just in case there was an issue. The guy I got it from had like 9000 transactions with a better than 99% approval.
May be worth the gamble, I would do it again

Same here. Bought both my UB 200 and UB Slim adapters from Hong Kong sellers. Takes a bit for shipping but they work great.

My "For IBM" one from HK works fine in my A31p and in the dock in my T40p, but it's not recognised in my wife's A21p. :)

Quality-wise, how was it? The pix I've seen of these low-cost ones seem to show all-plastic construction.

And what was the vendor's ID, in case I decide to take a chance on one of these.

Thanks

This is the guy I used
http://myworld.ebay.com/liangruiyuan/
It was an OEM IBM, not "made for ibm"
Works in all my T22 and T23

Does the job fine
