if anyone thinks this is a bad idea, please respond within 20 hours... I will be buying about then.
I think I found the T40 I was looking for-
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEWA:IT
I was wary at first, because of the absence of bids, and the fact that the seller had O feedback, but I'm going to take the risk. The seller responded to my questions, and seemed to know alot about the product.
I'm not an experienced E-bayer, but this seems valid to me...
Thanks!
Ben

Well the only thing I don't like about it is the fact that he has no feedback and he only registered on the 11th of this month.
But I guess we all had to start with nothing on eBay.
He is PayPal verified so that's a +

i would stay away from it, the user has no feedback and your spending $1000. i can be nice if i were to scam you for a grand. be smart and careful who u buy from. Keep looking something will come up that is a great deal that seems more legit. try pc and camera i think, they are huge ibm sellers

The picture appears to have been taken with some care, I note that the taker used a photographers background...though that could just mean the pic was hijacked....better to be safe than sorry.

Has no reserve listed, so it could sell for $700. Ask him if he is willing to escrow and split the fees. You are protected that way. Use only
www.escrow.com if he is willing. He doesn't get paid until you get the notebook and OK it, the escrow company holds the money until you give the OK. Since he has no feedback, he may do it if he is not in a hurry for the money.
