I have a T4x (T42) display that has a broken LCD in it, that I am offering for sale, to anyone that is interested.

This includes the following:
LCD back cover
Broken XGA LCD with good backlight
LCD bezel
LCD cable
inverter
screws
screw covers
wireless antenna
Both hinges (good condition)

I actually pulled the LCD out and swapped it with a broken LCD. I then put everything back together, except that I DID NOT reconnect the LCD cable. I mainly put it back together to make sure that I had all of the pieces.

Will post pics tonight if there is any interest in this.

I am hoping to get $45 shipped via US Priority Mail. Shipping at this point is to the US only. I might consider outside the US depending on the longevity of the forum member that is asking.

EDIT: Here are the pics:

Anyone interested at all? Do I need to part it out?

The backlight in this LCD is still very bright....

I have a T40 with a broken backlight that I would never consider fixing myself. I was going to send it to the guy who advertises here when we get back to the US but would this part work for us? How difficult would it be to swap out our good LCD with your bad one and install all that on our T40?

IIRC, it's hard. The bulb is just packaged so tightly in there, and there's a risk of dust and such getting into the LCD as well.

thanks so much, aaa. Doesn't look like something I'd be comfortable doing.
