Up for sale is an IBM Thinkpad R50p laptop in very good condition. Cosmetically, I'd rate it 9 out of 10. There are a few minor scuff marks on the lid, and most keys are starting to get shiny though all keys are perfectly legible. The 1600x1200 Flexview screen is in impeccable condition. In fact, among the 6 Flexview displays I've had, this one is by far the brightest and most evenly lit. This screen was transplanted from a mint-condition T43p, so it's about 2 years newer than most R50p screens. I've uploaded 6 photos of this laptop.

Here are the specs:

Product code: 1832-23U

1.7GHz Pentium M processor

1x1GB PC2700 RAM (1 empty slot)

60GB 7200rpm hard drive

15.0" 1600x1200 (UXGA) Flexview display

128MB ATI FireGL T2 graphics card

CDRW/DVD-R Multi-burner

Bluetooth

Modem

1GB Ethernet

two USB2 ports

PCMCIA slots

Intel 802.11a/b/g wireless

Secure Chip

9-cell battery in excellent condition (46 cycles, holding 84% of the design capacity)

Windows XP Pro COA sticker (somewhat worn out but the product key is clearly visible)

Recovery CDs

AC adapter

This unit no longer has IBM warranty, but has Mack warranty until May 2010, which is registered to me but can be transferred to a new owner for something like $15.

Prices:

If you pay by personal check, these options are available:

1) $450 shipped within the U.S., or $435 plus actual postage for all other destinations for the whole machine as described above
2) Subtract $25 if you don't need the 1x1GB PC2700 RAM
3) Subtract $30 if you don't need the 60GB 7200rpm HDD
4) Subtract $20 if you don't need the 9-cell battery

If you pay through PayPal, the prices are the same but please add 3%. I accept both cash- and CC-funded Paypal. Because I have a business Paypal account, I'd have to pay 3% fee either way, so I encourage you to pay with a CC.

Please PM me if you're interested.

I've adjusted the price, and I can now sell the unit without HDD, RAM and/or battery.
