I'll have to think about the SSD. Price is still a bit high for my taste (i know that your price is inexpensive in a matter of SSD, but still. 550USD is much for just hdd :)

Yep.. im just wondering if i'd buy Transcend 32GB for about 180USD or the 64GB from you.

Okay its twice the capacity, but the price is high compared the 32GB model and the capacity in Transcend is enough for me.

Nope, im not going to use it in TP :) Thought it would be nice in my linux based firewall and DNS server (with some other services also). Now the HDD is making too much noise for my wifes taste :(

Mod edit There's two problems with this thread. First, no inline pics are allowed on the forum without a warning in the thread subject...so I broke the .img tags. Secondly, all price negotiations should be conducted via PM, not on the open forum. - Harryc -

Just a friendly heads-up; Transcend SSDs are RUBBISH for general computing tasks. Don't get one of them, their write speeds (especially random whites) are abysmal. I would guess that if it's going into an "appliance" embedded-like machine with low demands on disk I/O, it'd be ok.. but then again you could go one step further and simply use a CF card in a CF->IDE adapter.

For what it's worth, I've had good experiences with a Sandisk 32GB SSD, and by all accounts I've read, the Samsung SSDs are right up there amongst the best, in terms of speed.
