I'm taking advantage of the great deal on the T42p from IBM.COM (sorry Bill). Link is Link to IBM.com

Anyhow, I am going to be selling my T30 once I get the new T42. The configuration is:

Machine Type: 2366-81U

Under warranty until 2005-08-21

Original description: P4-M 1.8GHz (512KB), 256MB RAM, 40.0GB HDD, 14.1 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD, 8x-3.3x DVD-ROM, Wireless upgradeable(MPCI), Modem(CDC), Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro

Upgrades:

RAM: 1GB Installed (2 512KB Modules)
Wifi: Cisco 350 MiniPCI card installed, 802.11b
Battery: New IBM Battery (11/04)

No bad pixels, no bad blocks on the drive.

I was thinking about starting this at about $800 on ebay and hopefully selling it for between $900 and $1000. Does that seem reasonable or is it a touch on the high side?

Thanks & Happy Holidays.

I think your ideas on how to sell on eBay is very reasonable. Although my machine is a T30 with 2.0gh, and came with multi-burner, and in great shape, it doesn't have 1ghz of memory (512 total) and I paid slightly over $1000 for it, also on eBay. I have been very pleased with it. I'm sure if you start at about $800, the price will creep up to $1000, if not over that. Good luck!

That is a fantastic deal (on IBM's site). They do have such things every now and then.
