Up for sale is a T23 in excellent condition. For the most part, this laptop looks new. The only imperfections are: several keys are barely shiny (most keys don't have any shine), the display lid has a few minor scuff marks, the bottom left corner of the screen has a several mm^2 region that's very slightly darker than the rest of the screen, and there are two very very tiny spots on the screen that are probably glue residues (see the last photo). The specs:

Product: ThinkPad T23 2647-5RU

Original description: PIII-M 1.2GHz (512KB), 1x256MB RAM, 60.0GB 5400rpm HDD, 14.1 SXGA+(1400x1050) TFT LCD, 8x8x24/8x CD-RW/DVD-ROM, Modem(MPCI), Ethernet(CDC), IBM Secure Chip, Win2000

The Windows 2000 COA sticker is intact. The battery is in good condition still holding 31.27 Wh charge (72% of design capacity). I'll include a Windows 2000 CD-ROM. The AC adapter is a generic, non-IBM 60W (16V, 3.75A) AC adapter, but it doesn't get any warmer than all the other IBM AC adapters I've used so it's safe.

I welcome local pickup, domestic buyers, and international buyers:

For local pickup, it's $185 in cash. Either come to Providence, or meet up at Boston South Station.

For U.S. buyers, it's $198 shipped and insured with Priority Mail if you pay with personal check. If you use PayPal, add 3%.

For international buyers, it's $185 plus actual postage plus 6.5% PayPal fee.

If you choose to PayPal, I encourage you to use a credit card, because I would have to pay the same fee even if you send cash.

No one has expressed any interest, so I dropped the price to $190/$196 + shipping from $210/$217 + shipping. I will ship it via USPS Priority Mail, which should cost only about $12 - $14 including insurance. I am also willing to ship overseas but postage would cost more.

I also added some photos to the opening post.

This T23 looks really clean and nice. I'm very tempted to keep it but I already have way too many computers, so it must go.

I was the lucky buyer of this T23. The machine is brand new, no wear even on the corners ... I had to search for the scuff marks on the top lid. LCD is great, keyboard looks new, the latches/hinges are tight as if the machine were 3-4 months old. There is no wear on the mini-pci/RAM covers, it looks as if this machine was used for a few months and kept in storage - bascially a NOS T23. The pics above don't do any justice to the condition this machine is in.

After my T60, this is the best looking thinkpad I own. Many thanks to PW for this beautiful thinkpad.
