i haven't used my X300 much since i got a thinkstation so i've decided to sell it. it's in immaculate condition and only saw one business trip during the four months that i've owned it.
specs:
- thinkpad
X300 6478-1HU (topseller model)
- vista business COA (precisely moved underneath battery)
- vista business 32
and XP pro 32 recovery media included
- 13.3" WXGA+ LED display (no dead/stuck pixels)
- 64GB samsung SSD
-
4GB total memory ($95 value)
- DVD/RW ultraslim bay drive
- 3-cell sony main battery
-
3-cell sony ultraslim bay battery ($159 value)
-
ultraslim bay travel bezel ($20 value)
- NMB keyboard (brand new and never used)
- intel 4965 AGN wireless
- bluetooth EDR 2.0
- WWAN-ready
-
intel WUSB card installed ($75 value)
-
3-year depot warranty valid until 2011-03-21
- original box and all original materials
this setup would currently cost approximately $2550 retail if purchased though a reseller then adding 4GB, a 3-cell bay battery, and the UWB card. i'm asking
SOLD! shipped within the US. expedited shipping is at the buyer's expense. if you absolutely have to pay using paypal or google checkout then i ask that you help pick up any applicable fees due to my ridiculously low price.
also available: like-new waterfield slip case for the X300. please add $25 if you wish to purchase this with the X300.
photos will be available upon request depending on my schedule.
please PM me to purchase.
thanks!

Are you perhaps interested in a trade for a sony vaio vgn-tz150n fitted with SSD? I will of course add in the difference in cash.

not really. i already have too many notebooks as it is and not enough time to use them.
i would, however, trade straight-up for $1795 cash. sound fair?

Fair enough, I guess I'll have to decide whether I want to go through the usual "selling and buying" (again!)
Thanks anyway though

price lowered even further.
i'm leaving on a two-week business trip this thursday. if the X300 hasn't sold by then, i will likely have to ebay this when i get back.

Awesome offering. This is getting tempting. I can no longer read this thread - I'm afraid you'll lower the price one more time!

Would you ship outside the US? More precisely; Would you ship to Norway?

this is as low as it gets. i'm already losing enough to make me second guess selling it!

i'd probably get more money on ebay but prefer to find a buyer here if possible.

i'll consider it if i don't find a US buyer between now and when i return.

There is no logic in this not having sold yet...it is a fantastic deal, and if it weren't for my own ridiculous collection, I'd be tempted.

How much would it be through Paypal?
I'd have to sell my DV9500 to sell it, but I'd do it in a heartbeat.

uc - thanks, i was just about to post a link to ppcalc.
i'm absolutely short on time today and tomorrow so this won't be able to ship out until after i get back on the 21st. i apologize for this inconvenience but honestly wasn't expecting this to take so long to sell.

VERY tempting . . .
EDIT: Erik - you know how snobby I am when it comes to my TPs.
Let me ask you a few questions.
1) how is the display compared to say an S-IPS from a T60p
2) how responsive is the system (I would be coming from a 2.33GHz T7600, so you can see how this might be concerning)
3) battery life - what is the ACTUAL usage?
4) got pics?

1) an IPS display is better but the X300 isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. having 1440x900 in a 13.3" screen with a full keyboard makes the X300 an excellent travel machine.
2) on paper the X300 may sound slow but it's far from it. it opens photoshop CS3 extended in less than 4 seconds. boot time under server 2008 is only about 30 seconds depending on the services and features installed. it performs most tasks faster than my former T61p.
3) the 3-cell main + 3-cell bay battery got me 5+ hours under normal use with wifi and BT turned off.
4) i can take pics after labor day when i return home. i can assure you that it looks like new though.
