FS: 500GB Samsung SATA 2.5" 9.5mm laptop HDD $210 shipp

Hello folks,
I'm selling a 500GB Samsung SATA 2.5" 9.5mm laptop HDD. It is brand new, still sealed in the original antistatic bag and never opened. I ordered this one from mwave.com about a week ago. Luckily, my friend gave me the exact same HDD as a birthday present this past weekend. So I have two same HDD's and I don't need two :) I planned on returning it, but just thought that I may give it to someone here who needs it. Please note that the return policy is 7 days only, so if I can't find a buyer in about 4 to 5 days, I'll have to return it unfortunately :(

This drive is the only drive right now for laptop with a half-tetrabyte capacity. With this drive, you don't have to upgrade for a while. My Windows index score for this HDD is 5.5. With it the machine is very fast and responsive. Before using this drive, I used a Seagate 7200.2 and this drive feels just as fast as that drive!

The drive has a standard height so it will fit in any laptop that uses a 2.5" SATA-interface harddrive.

Asking for $210 shipped. I accept Paypal. I'll make this deal exclusive to continental US buyers for a while, then if there is no interest, I'll open it up to international buyers (With a little bit more for the cost of shipping, of course)

That is a really good price and is about what I'm seeing on Ebay right now. I'm just debating if I should get this drive or just stick with the 320gb I am bout to order.

Yes, that is the same price as on ebay. However, remember that if you're from CA, you'll also have to pay tax and shipping. The total that I paid was $237, and I'm taking a loss here (rather than paying 15% restocking fee). I highly recommend this drive for you. The price of 320gb themselves are about $170 already from what I see on ebay. I already have the other identical drive in my laptop so if you have any question regarding its performance, I'll be glad to help :)

I think I'm okay. I just upgraded to a 320gb from the 250gb that came with my T61. As much as I want the 500gb, I don't think I can pay $200 for another hd right now.

Thanks for the help offer though!

Just a suggestion, why not keep the drive and get an adapter for the Ultra Bay and use it as a second hard drive. Think of the multimedia things you could get on there with that capacity.

Ultra Bay is one of the wonderfully handy things we get with out ThinkPads.

According to the ebay auction that I bought this from, one year warranty.

New update, I have already submitted a request for the RMA for the drive. If by the time the representative email me back the RMA and nobody is interested, I'll have to send it on its way. Sorry about the sudden changes but I don't want to take risk of getting the drive past the 7-day return limit.
Also, the deal now opens to all international customers. Please PM me for the actual shipping price and how much I will help you with shipping cost.
Thanks!
