Ah. I didn’t know that. Do you know why it is thicker ?
It is a design issue, a material issue and the fact that T-series would not justify the cost if they were exactly the same as the R-series
I tried to call Lenovo this morning. However, they said that I need to know type (which is 7742) and serial number. I don’t have the serial number of the laptop (since I didn’t buy it), so they can not give me infos about warranty... Does anyone have an ideas where/how to have those infos please ?
From the Lenovo support site, it seems that 7742 types are under international warranty, so it should not be a problem. Especially since both countries are in the EU, it is much easier than, say, a US-model being serviced abroad.
That said, I have had over 40 Thinkpads, and I never had service refused, regardless of their origin (To be fair, I have only used it 3 times

).
760XL, 560, 560E, 570, 600, 600E, 600X, T20, T21, T23, T40, T41p, T42, X20, X23, X24, X31, X60s, X60T, X200s. I should *really* get a cheaper hobby...
