Well, let me know what you've got. A 512 stick would be nice, but if you can swing a good deal on a 1GB chip, I've got some money that was
going to be spent on booze...

Hey... I have a 512M stick. I just bought 2GB of RAM for my T42p and I have the 512MB (PC2700 DDR 333Mhz) stick sitting around that shipped with my machine.
Kingston sells it for $165 + tax + shipping (link:
http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configu ... TP9828/512).
IBM sells it for $169 + tax + shipping (link:
http://www-132.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/store ... &cntry=840)
Crucial sells this for $116.99 + tax + shipping
I'll accept $100 and send it to you FedEx 2nd day. Again, this is the RAM that IBM shipped me with my machine, so quality etc is top notch.
Please PM me if you're interested. Otherwise it goes up on eBay tomorrow (Fri) morning.

someone posted this link in the T-series forum:
http://www.ocsystem.com/mi1gbpc26ddr.html
it's a micron (crucial) 1gb PC2700 333MHz 2.5CL SODIMM for $279 shipped. for what it's worth, roughly 75% of "ibm-branded" sodimms i've purchased from ibm have been crucial -- samsung makes up the other 25%.
