Since I've just closed a deal on a nice A31p from qviri (that I had sold to him a few months back...
) here I'm offering my much loved, babied and cherished A31p that has been my main unit for the last six months or so...
the basics:
ThinkPad A31p 2653-R4U
Original description:
P4-M 2.0GHz(512KB)
256MB RAM..........................now 1GB (2x512MB Elpida with a FRU)
60.0GB HDD..........................now 60Gb/7200rpm Hitachi
15.0 UXGA(1600x1200) TFT LCD
16x10x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD.............now DVD RW
Modem(CDC)
Ethernet(CDC)
IEEE 1394
IBM Secure Chip(TCPA)
TV out
Li-Ion battery.........................in green, holds charge, don't expect miracles
Known imperfections:
- Normal wear and tear, minor scratches on top and bottom, some light shine on the keyboard ( no worn keys whatsoever).
- One USB port physically damaged and hence out of service.
Some facts you might be interested in:
- Backlight was replaced by James (jamiphar) about two months ago. LCD is flawless, no scraches, dead pixels, dust specs or other imperfections...a FlexView doesn't get any nicer than this one. Period.
- Complete cooling system (including GPU sponges that no one ever changes because of their position on the system board) has been overhauled at the same time. The kit alone cost me over $50, but the machine runs beautifully cool and quiet for a P4M unit.
- I'm open for upgrade/downgrade suggestions, and have all the parts that you may be interested in swapping, including a P4M 2.4 CPU.
Asking $425 firm plus reasonable shipping depending on your location. As most of you know, I ship worldwide and accept a variety of payment methods.
The bottom line is: you will find a cheaper and/or prettier A31p, but you'll have quite some trouble finding a better one at any price.
Feel free to PM me with any questions that you might have.
