Feeler: T43p

I have a T43p I've had for around three years now and I'm contemplating upgrading to a T400.

It's got:
2Ghz processor
2GB RAM
60GB 7200 RPM drive
15" UXGA Flexview display with the 128MB FireGL V3200 video card
Atheros 802.11a/b/g wifi and the bluetooth module
DVD burner

It also comes with two standard 6 cell and one extended 9 cell batteries, a waterfield sleeve and a RadTech screen protector (goes between kb and screen).

It's in perfect working condition other than a few marks/uneven areas on the screen from being in bags with too much other stuff (apparently the padded case it was in wasn't enough) and of course the worn finish on the back of the lid. It has never needed warranty service, etc blah blah and the warranty is now expired I believe (I'd have to check the exact date).

I need a sense of what the market will tolerate. When I had looked a little while ago it seemed like it would be in the $650-700 range not necessarily including all the stuff I've got with it.

Lack of warranty and marks on the LCD are two issues that will bring this machine's price in lower-than-average range IMHO.

FWIW, I sold a T43p with very similar specs, brand new LCD and warranty until June of 2010 to a fellow forum member for $700 - just to give you an idea. That was two months ago.

Best of luck with the sale.

Thanks, I figure the marks (and no more warranty) will probably bring it down. I'm hoping that I can still get a reasonable amount after everything is included and it's all tallied up.

The marks on the LCD are strange though, the surface of it is pristine, these are in from the back of the LCD. :?

Nothing strange about these marks. Very common issue, especially on FlexViews. That why I got mine replaced under warranty on the T43p I had been previously referring to...

Ahh, never knew that! I had wanted to get it replaced under warranty... but my warranty ran out on me sooner than I realized.

Thanks again.
