Dock II - broken

#1 Post by awolfe63 » Sun Sep 07, 2008 1:48 pm

I have a Dock II that failed yesterday. Looks like the power supply stopped. (OK - I disconnected the fan last year - too noisy)

You pay shipping and it's yours.

Just out of curiosity, how many hours a day/week on average have you used the dock?

I use it all day (8-10 hours typical). I sometimes travel - but it has been used 25-28 days/month recently.

I never noticed any heat - so the fan/failure relationship could be a coincidence - or it might not.

At $40 each on ebay these days - I'd rather have the quiet than the reliability :)

Without duration, frequency means nothing. I think he wanted to know not only that you used it 8-10 hours a day, but for how long. 1 year, 2 year, 1 month, etc.
