I have a beautiful ThinkPad R60 that looks brand new with the single exception of a scratch on the top cover. No shine on excellent NMB keyboard and the display (14.1 XGA 4:3) is bright and free of any defects that I can see.
This computer is upgraded with 2.0 GB of RAM, an 80GB 5400 RPM hard drive and a 6 cell battery with 65 cycles that still takes its full design capacity and easily powers the machine for 3+ hours.
This machine is powered by a (removable) Celeron M 420 built on the Yonah platform, so upgrade is possible up to CoreDuo or possibly Core2Duo.
Currently Windows XP Professional is installed and runs very fast, faster than my 1.7GHz Pentium-M ThinkPad T42 despite that machine having a 64MB Radeon 9600 discreet video card.
Video is integrated Intel GMA950, it also has Gigabit Ethernet and Intel BG wireless. there is an RJ11 modem port, but no modem or Bluetooth is installed.
Model 9456-CTO and it is no longer under warranty.
This machine is flawless in every way, and I am only selling it to make room for an ultraportable of some sort. I originally planned to upgrade this to CoreDuo, but once I pushed up the RAM I found the Celeron more than fast-enough for my needs, and despite the lack of SpeedStep technology, battery life is terrific.
I previoulsy had a T60 and a T60p, and in everyday use there is very little difference except for the XGA screen resolution. The R60 looks and feels just like its more expensive brother, only slightly thicker and lacking the rubbery paint on the lid. AN EXTREMELY NICE THINKPAD!
I would also consider a trade for something smaller and lighter. A 14" (wide or standard) T60/61 is the absolute largest I would consider. An X60 would be ideal, and we can work out cost-differential and equipment.
