Having just picked up a couple of IPS-equipped T43s (along with some other stuff... 
), I've decided that the very nicely preserved T42 that I had gotten in a trade with KristianJ needs a new home...
the basics:

512MB RAM....................now 1GB (single DIMM, one slot open)
40GB 5400rpm HDD.............brand new Seagate (no recovery partition)
15 SXGA+(1400x1050) TFT LCD

condition:
A very, very clean example, 9.00-9.25 on a 1-10 scale with 10 being the best. One small (next to invisible) nick on otherwise perfect IPS FlexView LCD. Minimal outside wear. Runs quiet and cool, as a ThinkPad with these specs should.
Asking $380 shipped to lower 48 states, will ship worldwide for an additional charge dependent on buyer's location.

I can't help but chuckle at the irony that we've both put the laptops involved in our trade up for sale within about 2 hours of each other, George.
