For sale - A Thinkpad R51 in good condition. There are no cracks in the plastics, the keyboard (NMB Thai made) is in nice condition with very minor key shine. The LCD has a brand new backlight, and it is as bright as the day it came out of the box. There are no scratches on the LCD screen, no pressure marks, and no dead pixels. There are some specs of dust on the very bottom part of the LCD, visible only on a white background. There are some scratches on the outer LCD lid/cover from normal wear. The battery holds about 1/3 of it's original charge. The R51 runs for about an hour on the battery. There is a Windows XP COA associated with this machine, and the machine will come with XP Pro installed and with a recovery partition. I will include a set of XP recovery discs.

Here are the original specifications with changes noted;

Ok then. What would happen if we upgrade the hard drive to a 40GB 5400rpm Seagate (with 3 Yr. warranty) and install XP Pro, with a recovery partition. Same price. Any interest now?

Thanks Ron. If I had the money, I'd buy it myself. Just picked up an X32 and the upgrades killed my "Thinkpad Fund" :)
