Placing my T61p home workstation up for sale to pay off some school debts that obviously outweigh a 'Pad in these times.

I can post photos later if requested but am on lunch break right now so...

I do NOT have a copy of Windows installed as the drive was wiped clean for security reasons! You can install Vista if you wish or anything else.

Notes on laptop condition:
- Lid of laptop has STOP THEFT tags installed (www.stoptheft.com) and I would transfer ownership to the buyer once laptop is shipped. Very good theft prevention device I use on all my TPADS. The stickers are sizable and are posted on the upper right hand side of the lid if looking at the laptop open facing away from you, or if lid is closed the stickers are on the bottom left (front of laptop towards you.)

-There is ONE AREA of damage on the bottom left hand side of the laptop where the PCMCIA slot is and firewire port is located. My sister was using the laptop and dropped it on this corner on a floor from a few feet up and you can see the plastic cracked in this area. It's not very noticable and the laptop functions fine, but the PCMCIA slot cover was lost in this drop and the plastic surrounding the FIREWIRE is maligned to an extent. Please keep this mind before asking to purchase! This is why I am stating it now. I have taken off about $60 off theprice of this laptop to account for the damage.

- other than the two above things, the laptop is pristine. Keyboard has no shine, touchpad is excellent, and lid/LCD are all perfect. This laptop was docked on my desk for three months hence why it has no usage signs.

I might have someone for this, but I need to know one thing: is LCD Samsung or LG?

EDIT:

By parts lookup we've verified the LCD as being LG which is by far preferred by most users, and is likely the best TN panel currently offered by Lenovo.

Has it had the warranty motherboard replacement done yet? And is it the base that's cracked or the front/bottom of the palmrest?
