Compuvest still has the T40 ones (different p/n), for pretty darn cheap.

Are you speaking of the 91P7315? I bought some of these and like the card but it throws a 1803 ERROR on a R51 MOBO, old BIOS or new, and it WON'T let the notebook start! Tried a 27R1880 and it works fine.

One thing, was wondering if any of the 'same' but older 27R1880 equivalents (91P7319) would work or if they too would throw an 1803 error on an R51?

Both 91 p/n cards are listed for ATI series R5x, though oddly enough there are two different groups of models for each card.

The 27R1880 is listed for the X40.

Ahhh, interesting information. Explains why the 91P7315 throws an error ... doesn't like the INTEL graphics (the board here is not ATI graphics but Intel). Very nice link too, thanks.

Now understand why the 27R1880 works, the X40 has a similar chipset to the R51 (Intel graphics)!!

I wonder whether BT or the modem need a specific graphics chipset?

PS: still looking for a price on 27R1880 if someone has one they'd like to sell
