FS: 14" T42p Systems

I have recently obtained some 14" T42p laptops. These were all retired from corporate usage since the warranties had expired. A few have minor defects that I note. All of them have the 14.1" SXGA+(1400x1050)/FireGL-T2 LCD.

Each comes with HD caddy/cover but no hard-drive, no memory, no AC adapter, and no battery. There are three types to choose from:
A: 2373-N37, PM 745/1.8GHz, CD-RW/DVD, Intel 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth, 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), WinXP Pro
B: 2373-L45, PM 755/2.0GHz, CD-RW/DVD, Intel 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth, 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), WinXP Pro
C: 2373-T78, PM 745/1.8GHz, CD-RW/DVD, Intel 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth, 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), WinXP Pro, Fingerprint reader

Cosmetics: All of them are 9+/10 cosmetic condition – no cracks or major scratches. All keyboards are excellent. I note any individual system defects below.

LCDs: None have dead/stuck pixels. Two have small ‘mottling’ spots - some have shadowing on the bottom of the screen. I have pictures on a white background where this shows up most.

Testing: All of these tested 100% successfully. None of these have the GPU problem to the best of my ability to test that (moving the laptop around a lot showed no problems).

Prices include shipping to the USA. Shipping to Canada is $10 more - to Europe is $30 more. I use the US Postal Service. In the past, several people have asked me to record a lower value when shipping outside of the USA. I know this affects the tax when receiving the systems. Though I understand and sympathize with this situation, I mustl be honest when recording the value just as I try to be completely honest when describing the systems I am selling.

SOLD -- T42-223 [2373-N37 - PM 745/1.8GHz]
SOLD -- T42-224 [2373-L45 - PM 755/2.0GHz] - Small LCD surface scratch that doesn't show up when the system is on
SOLD -- T42-226 [2373-T78 - PM 745/1.8GHz, FingerPrint Reader] - Small whitish spot on right side of screen
SOLD -- T42-239 [2373-N37 - PM 745/1.8GHz]

The following comes with 1 DIMM of 1G/PC2700 memory:
$280 -- T42-243 [2373-T78 - PM 745/1.8GHz, FPrint, 1G/PC2700] - Deeper scratches on the external lid (but not down to the metal)

I have the following add-ons available:
A: 512M/PC2700 memory - $25 .. 1G (2x 512M/PC2700) - $45
B: Genuine IBM AC adapter - $10

If anyone is at all interested in T42p, I just upgraded my hot-rodded T41 to one of these machines and it was in outstanding condition. Also; Bob is great to work with as well!
