FS: New 15" SXGA+ T60 FlexView/IPS LCD (FRU 42T0325)

I have for sale a new 15" SXGA+ T60 FlexView/IPS LCD with IBM FRU 42T0325, being a LG-Philips LP150E05(A2)(K1). As said, the LCD is brand new, and comes sealed - in the exact same condition as I received it (I never opened it).

I am absolutely happy with the identical LCD which is in my own 15" SXGA+ FlexView/IPS T60 (model 2007-QPG). There is a review of a T60 with this LCD here - in the conclusion under "Pros" saying:

The 15" FlexView screen offers a fantastic viewing experience and really makes it easy on the eyes for day long computing.

Honestly, George, I don't know this for sure... and my "belief" is not worth much, unfortunately. This question however has been discussed a few times on this forum; see e.g. the threads R50p and T60/T60p LCD for T41p motherboard (see the post by Troels of Thu Jun 05, 2008 2:10 pm) and 15" Flexview UXGA screen for sale and in

If you offer to investigate this very interesting and surely scientific question then I would be happy to send you this LCD... I offer to pay the shipping costs, and if it turns out not to work, and/or if you decide not to buy it for whatever reason, you just agree to ship it (on behalf of me) to some hopefully future, other happy buyer. Bump! One LCD panel sold to George, but I still have a couple more left (all new). Again, this is an opportunity to e.g. upgrade a 15" XGA T60 (and hence non-FlexView) to SXGA+ FlexView/IPS at a very affordable price - or an opportunity to acquire a spare LCD for future use.

If ordering one of these LCD's directly from IBM maintenance parts they charge $983.28 (!!) and even with unknown availability.

Will this work on a T4x series or not?

I was not able to answer specifically "yes" or "no" to this question (but only shared some speculation in this post), but I asked our friendly ThinkPad-expert, James (jamiphar) who has also bought one of these LCD's. In response to this, James replied:

I tried testing the LCD with a T42, but it didn't work. This is probably just a compatibility problem.

... so that seems to be the answer, for now. Thanks again, James, for trying this out.

Anyway, the last two of these LCD's were just sold, so this therefore concludes my first "All items sold, hooray!" experience here on the Marketplace. In this context, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the forum Administrators and Moderators for first of all providing this trading space/opportunity, and secondly for spending all your private time to continuously keeping it up and running - and all this in such a way that it creates one of the the most honest and trustworthy cyber-space/-place which I know of to conduct business amongst ordinary people. Had it not been for this ThinkPad Community, I had most likely never been able to own a T42p (after having dreamed of that for years!)... but now I do, and "once you go black, you never go back" - so now I'm all "black" and happy, and thank you for that, all you helpful, friendly and honest forum Admins, Mods and -members! Deeply appreciated, this forum.
