Genuine IBM/Lenovo Extended Battery

Only one battery left; get it now as there will be no more at this great price.

This battery fits the T60 and a number of other models(R60, T60p, Z60m, Z61m. T61 15"). New and in the original sealed box from Lenovo. This is a fresh OEM battery manufactured in 2008.

I am asking $85 including Fedex shipping. (US)
Money Order, Personal check or cash accepted. (no paypal)

I live in Northern New Jersey and work in NYC. If you live or work nearby you can pickup and the price will be reduced to $80

I am using another one of these batteries in my T60P and it works perfectly fits better and lasts 50% longer then the original 6 cell battery that came with the T60P. I have sold 6 of these batteries so far and all purchasers have been extremely satisfied.

Price change. Shipping now included or pickup and save $10.

Price drop again. Amazed these brand new batteries haven't been snapped up at this price. Am I doing something wrong here?

I don't understand what I am seeing, I think. The original message quotes a price of $85 shipped. There are 2 messages saying the price dropped and this last one lists the final price drop at the same price as the original price.

I am looking for a battery for a R40, and I think this one would work. Is there a manufacturing date on this battery. I know you say it is new, but I want to see if it is 2 year old stock that has never been used or a fresh cell. I understand lithium ion do age. Maybe lack of that detail affects the offers you have received.

Each time I lowered the price I edited the first message to reflect the new price. My original price was $100. Lenovo sells this battery for $179. In order to tell you the exact manufacture date I would have to break the seal on the box. That being said I can tell you that I got these batteries all at the same time from Lenovo via their battery recall program. I am currently using one of these batteries in my T60P and it's manufacture date is 2008-07-07. I just sold 2 of these batteries to invictus. I don't think he would mind if you sent him pm asking what the manufacture dates of his batteries are.

I don't honestly know if these batteries are compatible with an R40. An educated guess would be that these batteries are not compatible with an R40. It's more likely that a T4x battery would also work with an R40. I will have a T4x battery for sale in a few days also received from Lenovo via the battery recall program. The price will be $85. When I get the battery I will post the details.

I said R40, but I meant R60. You mention R60 in your list, but the page you point to does not include any reference to R60 that I can see. I'll see what else I can find.
I understand not about the price change. It was confusing coming in cold on it like I did today.

The R60 and the T60 use the same batteries.

The batteries that I bought from steveg47 have the manufacture date of 2008-09-03 for both. Wow - just two months old.

I received a pm from someone who would like to buy one of my batteries for his T61. I advised him that I didn't think it would fit and certainly don't want to sell him the wrong battery. However, when I crossed referenced a few battery part numbers for the T60 and the T61 at the Lenovo website there appears to be some info that implies it would fit. Specifically when I looked up fru 92P1131.

Does anyone know for sure????

The 9-cell battery of my 14" 4:3 T60p and the 6-cell battery of my 15" widescreen T61p are interchangeable. As far as I know (but I don't have actual experience with this), these batteries are not compatible with the 14" widescreen T61.

basketb, thanks for that very useful piece of info. I know I tried a T60 battery in a T61 14" WS quite a while ago at work and it didn't fit so I never thought to try it in a 15".
