George
Have you checked out Fry's or buy.com lately? Crucial has been offering rebates on their memory products and there was a $25 rebate for the 1 gig PC2700. Of course you may not want to wait on the rebate but the prices are pretty good!
Good luck!

Thanks, Samson, I'm not a believer in rebates...but I do believe in friendship, and you are a good friend indeed...

http://shop2.frys.com/product/5475499?s ... IN_RSLT_PG No rebate, free shipping, pretty good price.

Edit: Same stick, still no rebates, still free shipping, even better price! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820145068

Only last Wednesday did I receive my Corsair MIR check for $35.- for a stick of 1GB PC2700 Sodimm VS1GSDS333 that I bought at FRYS on the July 4 weekend.
That took 'only' 3 months, but still, I got it :D

Well, in case anyone is interested and can wait on a rebate from Crucial, here's the linky http://shop3.frys.com/product/5475499 to the 1 gig PC2700 mem stick for 35 - 25 rebate = 10
:D

Darn, it seems the mail-in-rebate works only for US residences. Otherwise, I would totally get it.

Problem with these MIR items is, that you can only buy ONE per household.
Stupid really, most people probably would want TWO.

RBS
You are absolutely correct. Once in a while, a manufacturer is smart and allows the purchase of more than one of the rebate item., but generally not the case. This rebate was running at both Fry's and buy.com but since the rebate goes back to Crucial I did not want to take the chance that even though it was through two different vendors, Crucial would reject the second rebate since it was effectively the same item. Sigh....oh well, follow the next best route which is to buy one online and another through the forum!
