Type 2609-41U once was my main travel companion; I used it as a GPS display in rental cars and for Internet access while traveling in the USA. I’m selling it because it had been superseded by an X24 (which, in turn has now been superseded by an X31). Its size and light weight makes it ideal for travel.
Original description: Celeron 400MHz (128KB) 64MB RAM, 12.0GB HDD, 10.4 TFT 800x600, Li-Ion Battery, Win98
The keyboard looks almost new (I didn’t travel that much <G>) and the display has no dead pixels or marks of any kind. The HDD is a 10 GB IBM DJSA-210, not the original 12 GB. RAM is 196 MB, increased from the original 64MB.
There’s also an 802.11g card and a second main battery along with the AC adapter (there’s a DC adapter also available at additional cost).
Price: $100.00 plus actual mailing cost. USA buyers only.
Contact me, off list at rringis@hotmail.com
The price is FIRM. If it isn’t worth that much to someone else, I’ll keep it for sentimental reason as a reminder of pleasant travel experiences <G>.
