are these the adapters that i've read that folks prefer over intel a/b/g cards? any advantage that you know of over the 2915?

There were two IBM/Atheros a/b/g models, the IBM/Atheros a/b/g and the IBM/Atheros a/b/g II.

I know Linux (and OSX) used to prefer the Atheros over Intel cards, but I'm not sure if there is a preference with the versions.

I've had reasonable luck with the Intel adapters, but I'd say the Atheros models generally see more access points and have less problems with dropping connections to access points.

Perhaps someone with recent experience can comment?
