I have a Thinkpad 770Z machine type 9549-8AU in very good condition. It has the rare 13.7" SXGA 1280x1024 LCD.

Here are the original specs -

PII 366Mhz (256KB), 128MB RAM, 14.1GB HD, 13.7 SXGA TFT DVD(2X), 56K(ACP) Modem, Win98

The following upgrades were done -

Brand new battery
500Mhz PIII Mobile MMC2 CPU

I will include the original CPU as part of the package. I will also install a fresh copy of Windows 2000. There is no AC adapter included, but I will ship an external floppy drive. Overall condition of this machine is excellent. There are a couple of light scratches on the outside LCD lid. The keyboard looks fairly new, and the LCD itself is flawless. The CMOS battery was just replaced and is new. This is truly in collectors condition.

Note: Upgrading the CPU in these machines to 500Mhz PIII introduces a known intermittent video quirk where you will see small artifacts or lines on the screen. It occurs in 1 out of 3 or so boot ups. It is easily circumvented with a cold start up, and will not return for the duration of that power sequence/session. If that bothers the potential buyer, I can put the old CPU back. Personally I think it adds to the personality of this relic
