#1 Post by gtodell » Tue Nov 11, 2008 12:00 am

I am in need of a 93P4780 , Thai keyboard for my T42p. Any help in locating a new or very good used one would be greatly appreciated.

Here you go:

In the interest of full disclosure, I am NOT affiliated with the seller, but have been pleased with purchases from them on more than one occasion.

While the FRU 39T0643 that George links to above is indeed a 15" R5x/T4x NMB (US) keyboard (according to this page) I am, however, rather certain that it is not the one you ask for - "Made in Thailand". The Thai-NMB's have not been around as new for several years (to the best of my knowledge), as NMB keyboards are nowadays Made in China (oh, well). Some users have reported a slight difference in "feel" between the Thai and the China "equal" NMB keyboards (I, for one, agree to this; I also better like my Thai's).

So, if you insist on getting a "Made in Thailand" NMB, hang around on eBay and watch out for the 93P4780. When you find one, ask the seller to verify that it is indeed a Thai. They also show up here from time to time - like e.g. recently here.

I wouldn't have posted a link if I hadn't bought a keyboard (along with other stuff) from this particular source...and it wasn't made in China...
