FOUND: "D" key cap from any T40/T41/T42/T43/R50/R51/R52 NMB (also called "Thai") keyboard.
This is the keyboard with blue suction cups under the keys, below is a picture from the type I am looking for;
*Image removed*
I have a machine that with an otherwise very good to excellent keyboard on it, but the D key cap is damaged. I don't need any of the mechanism or the suction cup.
They sell on eBay for $3-$4, but I'd be more inclined to buy an entire used keyboard.
Please PM me a reasonable offer if you have one available in very good or better condition (little or no shine). Thank you!

I probably have one on one of my spare keyboards, I'll take a look when I get home.

I have an extra t43 keyboard but the suction cups on it are white, I dunno if the keys will still work on yours but if you need a d key I have one.

Thank you for the offer, but I'm pretty sure I need one from a blue suction cup board.
Below is a link that shows the three types of keyboards available on these model ThinkPads. The keys are not interchangeable between keyboard types.

Would a 'D' key from a T6X NMB keyboard work?

That is a good question. I can't answer it now, but I can check tonight to see if my T60's NMB keys fit on my T41. Maybe someone else can answer?
In the meantime, the other leads haven't worked out. So, I'm still interested in any offer.

The answer is
yes!
An NMB key from a T6x keyboard will work with an NMB T4x keyboard.
Oddly enough, the reverse is not true. A key from an NMB T4x keyboard will not work on an NMB T6x keyboard. This is because of a slight modification to the T6x NMB key mechanism design. The NMB T6x key tops have slightly more pronounced clips (four under the key top). They grab the T4x NMB key mechanism fine (maybe better than before), but the T4x key tops just don't hold onto the T6x NMB mechanisms. Other than that, the key top size and shape is identical.
Hopefully, you have a non-shiny "D" key top.
