Genuine IBM ThinkPad Recovery CDs - T40 T41 T42 T43 T60 T61

A few months ago I bought in an auction a large amount of ThinkPad parts that belonged to a large corporation that shut down. Among these parts are genuine IBM/Lenovo Recovery CD Sets for the T2x, T30, T4x, and T60. All the sets are English US.

hi, please let me know if you can find a recovery cd with windows XP Pro for thinkpad t61 type 6457 cto. i lost mine and need to re-install the OS.

so, will T42XPP R&R disks not work in a T40?

Do you still have this - T43/p Type 26xx....Win XPP SP2..............39K9211?

Do you have any more T60 Windows XP sets? My T60 from ebay didn't come with any recovery discs, and I want to reinstall so I can start fresh.

Also, I saw one of your old posts where you said something about tampering with the BIOS could cause the XP activation to fail. What if I upgraded to the latest BIOS, prior to reinstalling Windows from the recovery discs, would activation still work?

Any OEM BIOS should not affect activation. Upgrading your BIOS with system update or downloading from the driver matrix and updating should not be a problem.
