Wonder if anyone has a low profile 128MB video card for my 'new' (thanks richk!) dock 2877.

Now this dock is pretty picky and I've actually only had real success with a ATI Radeon 9200SE 128MB DDR PCI, so ideally if you have one of these around, that'd be swell. I have had 3 of these docks, so I have a bit of experience.

Ebay has them for 20 + 9 to ship, but I'd like to stay on the forum, and would like to come in around that same price. The last one of these I got for 20 total (12 + 8 to ship).

Willing to entertain other cards, but the 128MB is a requirement (kids games on a T42 work well with a proper video card), and I would prefer to have some assurance it will work in the dock. (As an aside it seems to be a power-draw thing: the dock just doesn't seem to deliver the full power a lot of PCI cards expect/require).

Contact by PM, please.

Thanks.

Are you saying you can get a dock then put a video card in it and get that video performance on your laptop monitor? Would this work for an X32?

No - you need to use an external monitor.

You don' t need a low-profile card. I used a full-height Radeon 7500 in mine. It does need to be half-length.

awolfe - can you provide the details on your card. As I indicated above, my successes have been limited, so adding another card to the list would be great. Thanks.

I'm almost 100% sure that Matrox G450 and G650 cards will work.
These come in PCI, 128MB and both full/half height.
I swear by Matrox, have used them now for well over 10 years.
Currently running a P650 Parhelia (AGP).
