Hi there...
Looking for a broken CD or DVD drive from a T40 series drive that uses the 9.5mm type. I want to cull the faceplate from your drive for a UJ-812 that I have that has a silver faceplate (from non-Thinkpad). If anyone has this, please post here or message me. I'll make you a deal.

If all the T40's are under warranty, there's really no reason for anyone to have a broken one.

Ah....good point...but was hoping for the chance that someone abused their, broke it and not covered by warranty. Anyway, it doesn't hurt to post here.
