Not necessarily from here on the forum, but anywhere where there is a good deal for one. My sister just ordered her S10, and eventually I'm going to get an x61 tablet, so I'm going to need an external USB DVD drive eventually. Slimline bus-powered would be awesome.

Bus powered burners can be finicky sometimes. The burner uses a lot of juice and puts a load on the USB port(s).Some burners come with a double-ended USB plug to plug into two ports simultaneously (maybe to spread the load?). Some external burners come with external power supplies. While certainly not as convenient or elegant as a bus-powered drive, it's better from an engineering/performance standpoint.

Holy cow is that the cheapest they get? I don't particularly need a burner, if that makes any difference.
