You might want to edit the original post to reflect the price drop - I thought it was $375 until I happened to scroll down here and saw your last post.
...and for $275 I would have considered buying it if I hadn't already bought a T42 and a couple of TC1100 slates in the last week.
Other then a lack of USB 2.0 the A31p is a very versatile 3-spindle beast - and with a Cardbus USB 2.0 card or a PCI card in a full Dock (which you can get NIB for $39.99 on eBay these days, giving you another ultrabay 2000 slot for another spindle) there isn't much it can't do on the desktop.

By the way, the A31p I have in use is on a full dock and got a USB2.0 card out the back. I am thinking to add a GE PCI card in the dock since I am gradually expanding my GE portion of the network at home. Latest addition is an 11n AP (really a router) with GE ports.

It is free of scratches and cracks, even in the usual places, such as around the Ultrabay latch slots and CPU fan grill. Keyboard has some shine to it but no missing characters (sigh, when I started out, we made keys with double shot molds so characters never wore off).

Palm rest is fine. The shine is from the camera flash.
