For sale is my personal T400. I have loved this machine in every way, but it's been replaced with a T60P with a 15" flexview screen that's more appropriate for my increasingly serious photography hobby. Note that I have changed this a little. I sell software professionally, so if you have software to trade for this laptop, I would be more than open to considering that as well. Maybe you are in the Seattle, Portland, or Bay area and can get MS or Adobe software easily?

It is in really great condition except for touchpad and keyboard fingerprint oil marks. No blemishes on screen, and very few on the rest of the body. I have both purchased and sold on this forum. Sold a X60 tablet a while back, and bought two T60P's on here. Both transactions went very smoothly on both sides.

The T400 doesn't have a WSXGA or WSXGA+ option, are you sure its not WXGA+ (1440x900)?

WSXGA = WXGA+
both are 1440 x 900

Lenovo doesn't use the acronym WSXGA for the 1440 x 900 screen resolution. So seeing it here just confuses people. E.g., did the OP really mean 14" WSXGA or did he mean 14" WXGA or 15" WSXGA+ or whatever.

Sorry, it is 1440x900, my mistake. I don't really know what all those xga acronyms stand for. Anyone, not a single person interested??

Integrated Intel 4500. Price dropped to $800, by the way, and the model with 1GB ram is no longer available. I am now selling only my personal T400 with 3gb ram.

Its a fair price on this machine. What kind of built in wireless does it have? I assume it has no dead or stuck pixels, and does not have a camera?

This is the first time ive seen this add, but it seems like a fair deal. What is the condition of the battery?

I have vPost shipping address in Portland.,oregon from there they can send it to India..By any chance you can send it to India via UPS? How much would be shipping? vPost charges me approx 80 SG$ or so. Yes not in US$ but SG$ . Reasonable.
If UPS charge 20 US$ for your laptop shipping, we can work out on this

That is $600 more for a brand new machine with full warranty. FYI you can search ebay for very similar machines, but with a 3 year warranty for the same price. Not to mention the economy is in the crapper, so you shouldn't be so shocked.

If you need this thing sold, I would lower the price with each bump, even if it is only $10 lower.

It's got the Centrino Intel 3945ABG card. The 9cell battery has 25 cycles with nearly 80wh remaining. I have never done a battery reset or any other maintenance. It has the LED backlit screen with no camera. I have never seen stuck pixels.

I've looked on eBay, and most of the T400's on there are stripped down models, not pretty decked out like this one. The ones with all the features are predictably $500 or so more that mine. Yes, they are new, but mine is still under warranty and includes the expensive 9 cell battery.

Supply and demand, unfortunately. It's a pretty basic unit - integrated graphics (biggest negative), no "N" wireless, Vista basic OS. Try lowering your price a little or invite offers.

For now, I'm going to be firm on the price, since it would easily garner that much on eBay. I am, of course, completely open to software trades, though. Surely someone here has some software they're not using which could be traded for a great laptop? I can also throw in a genuine XP install disc (OEM), for which I've found most of the drivers (I am currently running XP on it). I didn't think the discrete graphics were that impressive, so I just got the integrated.

You are doing the right thing. If you don't need the cash right away, there is no need to sell it for some low ball price (as some people seem to want you to do).

I have a couple of copies of Photoshop CS3 (one for Mac, one for Windows) that are unused - the Mac one is still sealed. Are those of any interest?

CS3 is notoriously counterfeited. I would need highly detailed photos of the box and media (for the open boxes).

Well these were shipped to me from Adobe so I don't think they're counterfeit. What part of the boxes or media do you need photos of?

15 inch LCD would be the T500. All T400 are 14 inch. We just pickup one at the office. They use DDR3, very nice. Optical drives are SATA and scarce in the aftermarket for now.
