FS: A31 2.6 / 2.0 / 40 HDD /Atheros 54 WIFI

Posted here first for a few days, then on to Craigslist and/or eBay. If this one doesn’t strike your fancy, keep watching this space… will have more A31, T30 and T23 rebuilds posted in the coming days and weeks.

Original description:
P4-M 2.0 GHz .... upgraded to P4-M 2.6 GHz
256 RAM..... upgraded to 2 Gig (2 x 1 Gb)
30 GB HDD..... upgraded to Hitachi 40-4200 HDD
15 XGA (1024 x 768) in A+ condition.
Wireless... upgraded from none to Atheros AR5005G 802.11b/g/ (54Mps). 1802 patch applied to BIOS, and 019C patch applied to the cards' EEPROM. Atheros drivers installed and fully operational. The original non-wireless lid has been replaced with an internal-antenna wireless-model top cover. CD-ROM supplied with the Atheros drivers and Client Utility program.
Modem (CDC) Ethernet (CDC) 10/100.
New (IBM Refurb) CDRW-DVD Combo IV (24x10x24x/8x) in Ultrabay2000.
Video Out. Parallel. Serial. External Monitor. 1 x USB 1.1
Excellent condition IBM Li-On battery. Green with 68 cycles count. 40/47 Watt Hours.
Excellent condition IBM Li-On Ultrabay battery also included. Green condition with only 46 cycles, 29/34 Watt Hours.
Original IBM WinXP Restore/Recovery Partition on the hard drive.
WinXP Pro Service Pack 3 installed and updated. WinXP COA included.
Thinkvantage System updates installed.
Latest BIOS updates applied
Includes correct 16V 4.5A A/C adapter and one each of the three styles of Trackpoint caps.
Note: Only one USB port is working on this machine. The second port does not show a connection to any device, and I have no spare A31 parts boards at the moment from which to salvage another USB port. I will have a couple of dud boards next week in some salvage equipment, and if the USB ports are OK on either of them, I will fix the ports on this one.
Top processor speed with the maximum memory. The display on this one is a really bright XGA, with no flaws at all.
As-new palmrest. Minimal shine on the keyboard. Plastics condition is overall very good, no cracks anywhere, but the top cover does have a couple of scratches.
All screws, caps and covers present.
All system board components were thoroughly tested with Notebook Hardware Control, Memtest86, and PC Doctor after installation. No operational issues of any kind.
Priced at $340.00 U.S. and includes shipping to Canada & the continental U.S.
Other Worldwide locations, please PM for rate. I can subsidize part of the shipping, but anything outside Can/U.S. is extremely expensive.
