Unwanted Bits of Thinkpad stuff

I have the following, which are of no use to me:

Portable drive bay PN 00n7940 FRU 37L1513 Qty 1
CDROM (fits the above) PN 05k9266 FRU 05k9267 Qty 1

HDD Adaptor PN 62p4554 Qty 3

The drive bay and CDROM are used, but, as far as I know, in full working order.

The HDD adaptors are brand new, ordered in error for my X31 ultrabay, and they don't [censored] fit! I think they're OK for T40 series, possibly T60, and ditto R50 (except R50E) , but ......... I'm not sure. They're manufactured in China "for Lenovo", include genuine IBM labels, and look like very well made items. Two are still in their unopened postal packages - I only needed to open one to find out they were the wrong items!

They're free & gratis to anyone who can use them (sorry: UK only), preferably by collection from Slough area. But I'll be prepared to pack them up and post them, subject to arrangement.

Hi Sniper

Someone got in before you, and he's in New Zealand. Neither of you are exactly domiciled in the UK. However, notwithstanding the grim weather, I'll stick the lot in a box, and make an expedition to the Post Office tomorrow to see what the damage will be for shipping to the two locations. But I'll not decide before Wednesday, in the hope that someone in the UK will want them. Sorry 'bout that.

Cdrom is just a reader, 24x

I'd very interested in a 62P4554 (although I am not exactly living in the UK)... since I just bought one on eBay, or so I thought; the seller sent me one for a much older ThinkPad which I had no use of, and just gave away in the thread FS: Cheap 570/E & 600/E/X UltraSlimBay Second HDD Adapter.

If you consider "out-of-UK" forum members (I live in Copenhagen, Denmark) please let me know what the (cheapest, slowest!) cost of mailing it would be. Is PayPal OK? Thanks a lot! :-)

Thinkpad stuff - Postal charges

Thanks to RealBlackStuff, I've come up with the following:

Firstly: You'd have to be desperate to want to pay the postal charges for going outside the UK. It's probably more than the stuff is worth - to anybody!

Total weight, including packing, would likely be 2 to 2.5 kilos for the lot.

To New Zealand 50 - 70 GBP
To USA 40 - 50 GBP
To Denmark 30 - 40 GBP
Within UK £6 - £9

So I think I will have to stick with my original stricture: UK only

Sorry an' all that
