I've also been looking for an IDE drive also. Unless you can find someone local or here who wants to sell one cheap, you can probably buy one cheaper at newegg. 160 gb OEM's there are around $65 usd. From watching E-bay, occasionally you see one for around $40-45 usd.

I bought an 80gb on E-bay a couple weeks ago for $30 usd, but gave it to a friend to fix his son's laptop.

If you need a T41 or X31 recovery partition on your new HDD and don't have recovery discs buying one of these could work well for you. I also have an Hitachi 160GB (excellent condition, minimal use), just didn't think to list it. Would let it go for $57, can partition the drive as you like and include the above mentioned service partitions!

EDIT: the 160 GB HDD just sold; the 40GB HDD's are still available!

If you're interested in any of these options, please PM. I'll be available through working hours today (Feb 26) but not Friday and most of Saturday. Will be available again Saturday night. If you PM I'll respond ASAP!
