Anybody have any interest in this? Only things I can find on it are Intel Model: M3AWEB56GA and on the back, the actual circuit board is stamped XIRCOM on the one corner. I believe it comes from a T30 or X30 as this is the driver I got with it:

I installed it in a Dell and it did work but not very well. My PCMCIA card did much better. Open to offers if anybody is interested. Send me an email to slparvin@comcast.net

In the Dell, there probably isn't an atenna to connect to it...in the Thinkpad there are a couple that go up behind the LCD. Am I right? If so, then that's why you had poor reception. The Wifi on my T30 works great.

No, it was a Dell 8200 with which it was supposed to be compatible. There is an antenna for WiFi on all Dell 8200's. It worked, but not as good as the pcmcia card. With that card I could surf in my neighbor's backyard by the pool, a good 300 ft away with an excellent signal. I could also connect anywhere in my house, even the fartherest away
bedroom, through 7 walls. With the miniPCI card installed, I could barely be outside my house and more than 4 walls would drop the connection.
I don't believe it was as compatible with the Dell as I was led to believe.

Sorry you had such bad luck, but it looks likeyou found a great card for it. Which one did you end up getting?
